About this package

What it does

Keep domain registrations and DNS responsibilities together without treating them as the same provider capability. The domain_registration product capability creates pending registration records after payment. A registrar handles availability, registration or renewal, while a separate DNS provider manages the zone. 2

Requirements

Agovena Core ^0.0.1. The manifest declares no additional package dependency. Use the matching Core release and apply the module migrations. 1

Set up the package

Enable the module and migrations, then choose an eligible registrar extension. Configure registrar_key, optional dns_provider_key and provider_settings on the product capability. A purchased domain or domain_name option supplies the name; domain_name in the capability is a fallback. Review pending records before sending a registration request.

Operation and failure handling

Payment creates the local registration record; it is not proof that a domain was purchased at the registrar. Registration and renewal explicitly check the selected adapter capability. Missing providers and unsupported operations fail instead of silently switching registrar. A failed registrar request records a failed state and failure time. DNS preparation saves the zone reference and nameservers separately, so a registered domain can still need DNS work. 2
