Digital Delivery

What it does

Deliver individual license keys, activation codes or account credentials after payment. The digital_secret capability assigns one delivery per purchased unit. A merchant-supplied pool supports automatic allocation; manual and provider-designated deliveries remain pending for staff to complete. 2

Requirements

Set up the package

Activate the module and its migrations, then configure a product with digital_secret. Choose the delivery source and populate the pool with values you are entitled to sell, or arrange a manual fulfillment process. Use the customer account as the delivery surface. Notification emails link there rather than including the secret value.

Operation and failure handling

The cart check sums repeated product lines before checking pool availability. Paid-order handling locks order items and only creates missing deliveries. If the pool becomes exhausted after payment, the unit becomes a pending manual delivery rather than receiving an invented code. Revoking access does not return a viewed value to the pool. Staff must retire exposed values and complete outstanding deliveries deliberately. 2
