Known limitations

What Agovena v0.0.1 does not do yet, so you can plan around it before you go live.

Planned for a later release

  • Invoice templates. Agovena ships one invoice template in the Default Theme. Additional built-in invoice templates are planned after v0.0.1.
  • Platform importers. Imports run through CSV with mapping profiles for billing, shop and commerce platforms. There are no direct importers that connect to Paymenter, WHMCS, WooCommerce or Shopify yet.
  • IP reputation. There is no VPN, proxy, Tor or IP reputation detection. Rate limits, challenge providers and account security controls are available.
  • Bulk exports. Only the audit log (CSV) and a single customer's data can be exported. CSV, JSON or XML exports for customers, products, orders and invoices are planned after v0.0.1.
  • Maintenance mode in Admin. Use Laravel's php artisan down --secret=<token> and php artisan up. An Admin toggle with staff bypass is planned after v0.0.1.

Current boundaries

  • Docker is optional and not validated in CI. Native installation on Ubuntu 24.04 is the validated path.
  • Dunning is minimal. Failed renewals stay payable and can retry automatically; see consolidated billing and the subscription settings in Admin.
  • Events have no reserved seating.
  • Automatic tax covers EU standard VAT rates only, not reduced rates or US sales tax.
  • Modules and Extensions run as trusted code. Install only packages you trust.
  • Every provider Extension is covered by automated tests against its documented API. Run one test transaction or service order on your own provider account before you accept customer orders.
